Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole has ditched her red hair and gone back to brunette tresses.

Despite recently claiming that she was enjoying her new dark red hair, it seems she has returned to brown for a magazine shoot.

A source told the Sun: "It took a good three days to get her hair back to normal."

The singer is currently filming for X Factor in Morocco, where it is thought she will be picking her three finalists for the live show.

Cheryl Cole's hair has come into its own in the last year, with many girls keen to get the volumised and extended look sported by the star.

Since coming into the public eye she has experimented with a number of hairstyles, including a blunt fringe, a bob and straightened tresses.

However, it appears that her new curly, bouffant look is her favourite, as she has continued to keep it in the style for some time.
